Hey COD! Three strikes and you’re out! –

By John Kraft & Kirk Allen

On October 10, 2014

College of DuPage (ECWd) –

If there is one thing honest people know, that dishonest people do not know, is that if you tell the truth, you do not have to remember which lie you told the last time you were asked a question.

So far the College of DuPage has told three separate lies about the relationship between the College, Breuder, and Max McGraw’s Hunting Cub dues payments.

This further damages their credibility.

Here the three lies:

1.  In the article published October 8, 2014 by ‘Northern Public Radio”* in reference to the College of DuPage, this quote appears:

“COD Senior Vice President Tom Frased said the “shooting club” membership belongs to the office of the president and not to Breuder himself. It provides a venue for off-campus planning and other sessions.”

This is a direct contradiction to the report the COD attorney submitted to the Attorney General’s office, and also contradictory to previous comments by the Board Treasurer.

2.  On September 17, 2014, the Board’s Treasurer, Mr. Glaser, claimed, in an interview with a Daily Herald reporter, that the payments to the “shooting club” (Max McGraw’s) was in his compensation package.

Page 4 of this document:

It is not in Breuder’s compensation package and never was. The following links are for his contracts if you want to see them. 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011.

3.  The attorney for COD, in response to an AG request for review on denial of a FOIA request seeking documents about the “shooting club” (Max McGraw’s) payments, wrote this to the AG:  “Please be further advised that Dr. Breuder, INDIVIDUALLY, and not the College or Dr. Breuder in his official capacity as President, is a member of Max McGraw’s Wildlife Foundation.”

None of the above explanations can explain the the accounting code used for reimbursement to Breuder on this membership.

You can see their stories keep changing, which in itself should clue you in to the truthfulness of those statements. If they freely lie about “little things” like this, can they be expected to tell the truth ever?

In the interest in providing accurate information, I am asking that COD truthfully address these conflicting statements and publish an update clarifying exactly what the relationship is with Breuder, the College, and this hunting club membership.
