DuPage Co. (ECWd) –
It would appear that the three boycotting trustees being led by Dianne McGuire have once again refused to place anything on an agenda for a meeting they called for on January 14th, 2016 at 7:pm.
Acting Chairman Mazzochi has once again taken steps to address matters of importance and called for a special meeting as well. However it appears this meeting will be short and sweet as there are only a few items on the agenda. It will be difficult to claim this is an attempt of hijacking the other meeting as McGuire insinuated to the press last week.
I wonder if the students, faculty, vendors, etc. could claim McGuire is hijacking their livelihood?
Of special interest on the “Reform Board” agenda is the action to release closed session records to the DuPage County States Attorney for his investigation on the claimed Open Meetings Act violation. Note that we were the first to identify the March 6th, 2014 date as a suspicious date referenced in Breuders lawsuit. Thanks again to Breuder’s attorney. All indications are we were correct, action was taken during that meeting ran by Erin Birt, a member of the “Breuder Board”.
If the boycotting trustees refuse to attend it will be interesting to see if they could face Official Misconduct charges for refusing to perform their duties.
The Board packet to include Bob Berlins letter requesting those records can be viewed here.

Posted at 19:50h, 12 JanuaryThe Tribune posted an article tonight title “Prosecutors seek documents from College of DuPage on Brueder’s contract.” In the article the following was quite interesting:
“In an email exchange obtained by the Tribune, Mazzochi indicated that interim President Joseph Collins initially balked at adding her agenda, despite a state law that allows any three trustees to call a special meeting.
“You fear the three (longtime) trustees … will boycott it, and you believe the boycott is not in the best interest of the College,” she wrote.
She also hinted that Collins was violating school policy by pushing back against her agenda — a suggestion that led Collins to call her behavior “unprofessional.”
“I remind you that you do not individually have the ability to discipline me,” he wrote. “I work for the entire board, not you.”
Items 4 – 7 of the Jan. 14 7pm meeting is basically an Organizational Meeting to elect the Board President, Vice-Chairmen, Treasurer, and Secretary. It will be interesting to see how Mazzochi and Eliot navigate around those items. The elections cannot take place legally even though McGuire, Birt, and Wozniak want them.

Posted at 17:03h, 12 JanuaryThis is a dysfunctional board as a whole. Actions (not more talk) need to be taken to resolve this drama obviously. These childish games need to end by ALL the members of this board and all involved need to act in the best interest of the students, teachers, staff and citizens of this district. Quit playing. End it. Move forward please. Thanks. Have a nice day.
Tired Of Your Complaining
Posted at 23:26h, 12 JanuaryHow about you stop complaining about how others choose to spend their time and resources,s or quit reading this blog and go out on your own to investigate the issues that concern you? Many, MANY people are thankful to the ECWDs and are glad they aren’t giving up on this issue. So how about YOU quit playing. End it. Move forward please. Thanks. Have a nice day.

Posted at 16:47h, 12 JanuaryAnything new on the criminal complaint? Its not like there’s a lot detective work involved since Team Boycott has been defiantly committing the felonies. The sooner they are in custody, the sooner we can dispose of these mopes.
