The next town hall/public forum will be on Saturday, June 28 at 9 AM at the Pontiac City Council Chambers, 115 West Howard Street. We will provide an update on all the hot issues in the County and invite questions and comments from the public. The purpose of these town halls is to provide a two-way street so that we can alert you and get your input on key issues.
There will be a special guest speaker: Ted Hartke will talk about his family’s experience living in Invenergy’s California Ridge Wind Farm in Vermilion County. He will put on a demonstration of the low-frequency sound they hear in their home. That should be very interesting. He and some other wind farm residents will also be available from 1-3 PM at the Hampsher Hotel B&B at 303 East Krack Street in Forrest to share their experiences.
We will have handouts of the map of the outline of the proposed “Pleasant Ridge” wind farm. (see attached)
The new war memorial on the Courthouse Square will be dedicated at 11 AM so please plan to come to the town hall, get a good parking space and attend the dedication. If there are other topics you would like us to cover, please let me know.
