Subtitute Teacher Indicted/Arrested On Federal Child Pornography Charges –

Robinson, IL. (ECWd) –

Mykaela Kristine Patterson, a now-former substitute teacher for Robinson, Illinois School District Number 2, was arrested on Feb 22, 2022, after a Feb 8, 2022, true bill of indictment came out of a federal grand jury which alleged she received and distributed child pornography of prepubescent children.

Patterson plead Not Guilty in a Feb 24, 2022, Hearing in Federal Court in the Southern District of Illinois. She was released on a personal recognizance bond, with conditions, into the custody of Jonathan Cook of Robinson.

The school district released a statement (found here on WTYEFM.com) indicating Patterson subbed from September 24, 2021, through January 28, 2022, at Lincoln Elementary School, Nuttall Middle School, and Robinson High School, and the district conducted the required background checks prior to placing her on the substitute teacher list.
