Paris Crestwood Schools To Vote On 9.559% Tax Increase –

PARIS, IL. (ECWd) –

The Paris [Crestwood] CUSD #4 is holding a Truth in Taxation Hearing on December 8, 2021, at 4:50 p.m. at Crestwood School.

This Hearing is to hear comments and approve the proposed tax levy increase:

  • total increase of 9.559%, which includes:
    • increase of 13.116% for the corporate and special purpose levy
    • decrease of 19.771% in the debt service levy
    • total dollar amount increase of $427,004.79

    What about Town of Grandview and the Grandview Township Road District
    tax levy increase over 74%.

    Of course schools need more money!
    How can employees increase their future pensions without salary increases today?
    And they’ve worked so hard during covid, teaching in a way in which none of them have been trained and/or certified.
    There is no limit to how much money they deserve!
    Don’t ask about student progress, that’s not important.
