According to the girl’s father, after an 11-year-old girl posted a photo of herself sitting with some doves she harvested on a recent family hunting trip, an employee at the Matton School District thought it was a good idea to wish death upon her, by posting “I hope you die soon little girl” in response to the photo.
The girl did record a video response to Rebecca Coon (watch it HERE).

Rebecca Coon, is currently an employee of the Mattoon School District and works as a “Payroll and Insurance Secretary” with the district staff.
Coon has since made her Facebook profile private, and we are unaware of any apologies at this time.
The school superintendent is aware of this and is looking into various options available.
This is unacceptable for any adult, let alone a school employee wishing death upon an 11-year-old girl for going hunting.
Termination of employment appears to be the only option, in our opinion.
