Shelby Co. (ECWd) -
The Shelby County Board Meeting scheduled for February 13th at 9 am is going to be held at the Shelbyville Visitor Center, 1989 State Highway 16, Shelbyville, Illinois.
The location was changed to accommodate potential conflicts with the courtrooms needed that day along with a concern of having enough space for what may be larger than normal attendance.
In reviewing the agenda it appears steps are being taken towards identifying how bad the payroll issues are at the Sheriff's office as the agenda indicates a possible vote for the hiring of a forensic auditor.
Of interest is the fact this appears to be a request by the State's Attorney rather than the Treasure. If you have not read the article on the Sheriff's payroll problems we encourage you to read it at this link.
A copy of the agenda can be downloaded at this link or viewed below.
We encourage people to come to the meeting and be a participant in their local government rather than a bystander.
