By John Kraft & Kirk Allen

On September 15, 2018

ST. Clair Co., IL. (ECWd) –

Alorton, Illinois Mayor Jo Ann Reed, the same person who was ousted as Mayor several years ago after felony conviction, who is currently charged with buying votes in the last Mayoral election, who also commandeered a city police vehicle for her personal use after being elected to Mayor again, and even displays the handicap placard of her deceased father from its mirror, was allegedly spotted using the police vehicle’s spotlight and activating the police lights of the vehicle on a state highway.

She was alleged to have used the spotlight and activated the red and blue lights of the police vehicle on I-64 Eastbound at Illinois 157.

The 911 call (audio below) and radio transmissions indicate the vehicle had “Mayor Jo Ann Reed” on the side of it.

Police have initiated an investigation into the incident as she had allegedly left the scene before police arrived.

What a POS. What goes around – comes around. She’ll go down in a ball of flame when her time comes.

Well I certainly hope they pursue this to the fullest! This individual acts if she is untouchable thanks to our good ol St. Clair County! She must have some really good dirt in them!!!

Perhaps rushing to a neighboring jurisdiction in a quest for new absentee voters at a rate lower than normal.
