FITHIAN, IL. (ECWd) –
This morning a reader sent us this photo of a broken wind turbine blade in Vermilion County, Illinois.
This turbine is located just south of the abandoned Hartke home, and north of Fithian, Illinois on Illinois Route 49 in Vermilion County. For those not familiar with the abandoned Hartke home we encourage you to read this article.
It is located in the Terraform Power’s California Ridge Wind Farm, formerly owned by Invenergy.
Invenergy attorney Mike Glazer has formerly stated that these blades were designed to fall straight down. It appears one finally might act as designed.
