College of DuPage (ECWd) –
Published October 6, 2015, 6:03 p.m.
The Illinois Community College Board (ICCB) has issued a ruling against the College of DuPage (COD) and their process used to place Suburban Law Enforcement Academy (SLEA) cadets as COD students and having it count towards COD’s credit hour enrollment numbers.
With this determination, the ICCB is demanding a return of funds in excess of $100,000 each year since 2012 (three years’ worth). We understand the total to be over $400,000 in repayment to ICCB.
This is due to the flawed process used by COD to count cadets in SLEA as students in COD.
See this October 4th article for further context (here). We also reported on this in March (here) and in a related enrollment matter in May (here).
This did not come as a surprise to us, it is simply another in the long line of Breuder administration failures.
