Clermont, FL. (ECWd) –
While out on pretrial release with bond stemming from her 2025 misdemeanor stalking charge in Polk County, Florida, Bonnie Kurowski was arrested and charged with felony Grand Theft in Clermont, Lake County, Florida.
According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause:
- The affiant swears under oath that he has probable cause to believe that certain laws have been violated in Lake County, Florida and that on or about Saturday, July 25, 2026, Bonnie Kurowski did commit Grand Theft 812.104(2)(c)(l).
- On Saturday, July 25, 2026, at approximately 0120 hours, I responded to 3033 Santa Maria Ave in Clermont, FL in reference to a report of a Theft.
- Prior to my arrival, the complainant, who was later identified by his Florida driver’s license as Damon Miller stated to Lake County Dispatch that his landlord, Bonnie Kurowski had removed his property from their garage and placed it into a trailer that was attached to her pickup truck.
- Upon my arrival to the residence, I made contact with Damon who was standing in the front yard of the property. I observed a red Dodge Ram 1500 that bared Florida license plate: FQPG29 with a U-Haul trailer attached with multiple items inside the trailer. Lake County Dispatch later confirmed the red Dodge pickup is registered to Bonnie. Damon stated that he had left his residence at approximately 2000 hours on 7/24/26 and returned home at approximately 0100 hours on 7 /25/26. When he returned home, he observed Bonnies pickup truck in the driveway with his items inside of the trailer. Damon stated when he arrived home, he observed Bonnie in the garage. When Bonnie saw Damon return home, she closed the garage door and went inside the residence. Damon stated he did not give Bonnie permission to remove his items from the garage and place them into a trailer.
- Damon stated that Bonnie was upstairs in her room and attempted to call her. Bonnie later answered her phone and refused to come outside to speak with officers about the incident. While on the phone with Bonnie she stated ” we are moving everyone out, he is moving out and everyone has to get their stuff out. Bonnie continued to not cooperate with the investigation and later hung up the phone. Damon stated that he has lived at this residence for two continuous years and has not received any eviction notice from Bonnie.
- The items that were inside the trailer were two large toolboxes and multiple smaller toolboxes and other tools. Damon estimated the value of all the items to be $5,000. Damon stated there are external cameras that face the driveway that were disabled prior to the theft. Damon stated the cameras were in working condition earlier today.
- Due to Bonnie expressing to officers that Damon needed to pack his items and leave, Bonnie not obtaining permission from Damon to remove his property from the garage, bonnie temporarily depriving Damon from his property by placing it inside a trailer that was attached to her registered vehicle, an e-warrant will be submitted. I captured 8 photos of Bonni es pickup truck and trailer with Damon’s property. Those photos were later uploaded to Axon evidence.
- Damon completed a sworn statement with the intent to prosecute.
An arrest warrant was signed/issued on August 11, 2026.
