Coles Co. (ECWd) –
The long-awaited jury trial of Jerry Willison, former trustee of Oakland Fire Protection District and father of now convicted former OFPD trustee Kyley Willison, is postponed to an undetermined date.
Due to the court’s schedule, the November 4, 2025, trial date was vacated. The docket entry now shows a ‘status’ hearing scheduled for December 1, 2025, at 9 AM in courtroom 1.
With no pending motions before the court, we are not sure why any status hearing is needed. There has been speculation that the status is related to a possible plea deal, but we have been unable to confirm that at the time of publication.
The last hearing heard arguments on motions to Amended Information and Motion to Bar Witnesses. The court denied both motions and indicated trial setting was maintained. That was on October 30, 2025. On November 3, 2025, a docket entry vacated the jury trial date.
