College of DuPage Faculty Association Calls For Resignations –

By John Kraft & Kirk Allen

On December 17, 2015

College of DuPage (ECWd) –
The College of DuPage Faculty Association (“CODFA”) has posted a note calling for the resignation of all trustees, administration, and staff that assisted the former regime in its quest to be placed on probation.

“There are consequences for our actions or inactions. I have called for the resignations of ALL who contributed to this black mark on our College. This certainly applies to the 3 Breuder Trustees, who never said no to him and to this moment support him, and any administrator who can’t find the courage to own their mistakes. Only Joe Collins has offered an apology to the College Community. For some an apology will not excuse the lack of judgement. Time has run out.

People have been hurt by the Breuder legacy as rendered by HLC, careers have been or will be hurt. We are all accountable for our actions and can’t blame others for the choices we willingly make. It was a good party but it’s time to leave. You blew a really good thing.”

We support that statement 100 percent.
The events following Hamilton’s resignation and the “alleged” (later found to be false) accusations of McGuire and Birt claiming the new chairman threatened to arrest them does nothing more than show their mindsets moving forwards.
It is our belief that they (Birt and McGuire) will stop at nothing to write that $767,000 check, will pursue their failed decisions at any cost, and will make every attempt at covering their past actions.
The most recent Higher Learning Commission determination and their report from 2013,  the State Legislature, the Commission On Accreditation In Physical Therapy Education, their own internal audits which reported 43 illegal and unethical practices over the past three years, the Illinois Community College Trustee Association, the Illinois Community College Board, the Internal Revenue Service, the Illinois Attorney General, the DuPage County Circuit Court, the College of DuPage Facualty Association, and even former Governor Pat Quinn (the $20 million email) have all pointed to massive shortcomings in the operation, supervision and integrity of the Breuder regime including failures of the Board of Trustees at the time. But Trustee McGuire says they are all made-up political agendas.
This genie will not be stuffed back into the bottle.
