Dolton, Ill. (ECWd) –
Yesterday, the Village of Dolton, Illinois was ordered to pay our attorney fees in the amount of $41,029.45, our costs in the amount of $1,494.02, and a civil penalty in the amount of $5000.00.
Total cost to Dolton is $47,523.47.
This was all the result of former and disgrace Mayor Tiffany Henyard’s actions refusing to provide the public records we requested under the Freedom of Information Act.
This case number was 2024CH00791 in Cook County, a different case than this one (here).
It is almost always cheaper on local governments to provide the requested records, than to risk it in a court battle.

It’s always cheaper to go this route in IL because the info. you wanted would expose too much of there Corruption costing them far more in the long run than what there courts give you! This is Nothing more than S.O.P. in this state.
