Shelby County – Voters Not Buying The Local Propaganda?

Shelby Co., Ill. (ECWd) –

The resignations of the former Shelby County Chairman Bobby Orman and Vice Chairman Mark Bennett had no impact on their re-election to the County Board, even after relentless attacks from the local propaganda pushed on social media.

Orman won his re-election with 62.36% of the vote over Guy Michael Anderson while Bennett won with 74.2% over James Caputo.  Both their opponents were supported by the local propagandist. It would appear the people were not buying what they were selling.

We understand both will take their oath of office in December.

Another local political upset was the Office of Circuit Clerk. Kari Kingston lost her re-election effort and only received 41.93% of the vote, with Peter Otis winning his election with 58.07%. The local establishment pushed hard to imply that Kingston should be re-elected while ignoring the misappropriation of public funds which required legal action to correct, as covered in this article.
.
Uvanna McKinney, mother of the County Clerk Chief Deputy Elizabeth Ragan lost her bid for county board after only receiving 22.8% of the vote compared to Christy Wafford’s 77.2%.  McKinney was another candidate being pushed for by the local propaganda.
County Board members elected take office at the first meeting in December and the Circuit Clerk takes office on the first day in the month of December following his or her election on which the office of the clerk of the circuit court is required, by statute or by action of the court, to be open.

Where was the big SCU/SCF wave Mrs. Boehm warned Mr. Orman and Mr. Ross about, uncontested races not included?
