Dolton Sued For Withholding Public Records, Again –

By John Kraft & Kirk Allen

On February 7, 2024

Dolton, Ill. (ECWd) –

Today we filed another lawsuit under the Freedom of Information Act (“FOIA”) to force the village of Dolton, Illinois to produce the public records requested more than 5 weeks ago.

  • On January 5, 2024, I asked for “Copy of all credit card statements since October 1, 2023.”
  • Also on January 5, 2024, I asked for “Copy of the document Mayor Henyard was showing at the January public meeting while stating the trustees canceled the credit card and the document was proof.”
  • The only response received was from the village Clerk, who stated: “Mr. Kraft just as a point of reference, Keith Freeman has instructed staff not to reply to any FOIA request that is submitted by me. I see you address your request to him. Hopefully, you will get what you are requesting.

No records were forthcoming.

This is our second lawsuit against the village of Dolton for their refusal to provide public records when requested.

Keith Freeman is the alleged Village Manager working under the direction of Mayor Tiffany Henyard.

Yeah…someone should make those calls to the FBI, IRS, and Postal Inspectors. Dolton and Thornton Township are going to be broker than broke by the time Henyard is done throwing money around. But our illustrious Dem Attorney General who said he’d get tough on corruption?? (crickets chirping).

You’re going to need a track hoe and a dump truck to unearth all of the corruption in this cesspool.
