Lisle Twp., Ill. (ECWd) –

On November 1, 2023, embattled Lisle Township Supervisor Diane Hewitt was arrested by Warrenville Police Department and later charged with misdemeanor Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.

Her next court appearance for case number 2023DT002173 is scheduled for November 29, 2023, at 9:00 a.m.

In August of 2023, the Township Board passed a Resolution for a vote of “No Confidence” in Township Supervisor Diane Hewitt and asked her to resign.

According to the Resolution of No Confidence, Hewitt moved the Township Clerk’s office without approval and denied the Clerk access to township records she was required to have access to. Additional accusations included failing to honestly answer questions of the trustees during board meetings, false claims of ageism, verbal attacks (including growling at staff members), creating a climate of mistrust and hostility, and various other issues.

I would love to see the body cam video, How many “Do you know who I am’s are on it?”

No big deal. First offender probation, Conditional discharge. Go 18 months keep her nose clean the DUI disappears. She pays a fine and is allowed to do it again.

Illinois used to be tough on DUI but not anymore!
