Paris District 95 Hired Principal, Two Admin Assistants –

PARIS, Ill. (ECWd) –

Paris Union School District 95 held a six-minute special meeting last night where they took the following actions:

• Accepted resignation of school janitor
• Hired Lucy Tarr as principal of Memorial Grade School for $78,000 for an 11-month contract beginning August 1, 2023
• Hired Carol Jones as administrative assistant to the district, for no more than 120 days
• Hired Connie Sutton as administrative assistant to the district, for no more than 120 days
• Rejected all insurance bids

We did talk to Acting Superintendent Bailey, who acknowledged the district would have to pay back some grant funds, but the district would probably not be notified of the exact amount, and which grants, until around the September timeframe. The food account would most likely be the largest amount owed.
