Illinois (ECWd) –
Illinois State University Associate Professor Dr. Kate Sheridan ([email protected]), is the point of contact for a survey which was mailed to citizens of the state last week targeting information of adults 18 years old and older.
While the survey claims to be tied to “seeking information regarding the characteristics of Illinois residents in order to guide public health spending within the State”, we find it confusing in light of the fact only four questions deal with matters that could be tied to spending our tax dollars.
The majority of the questions are about a person’s sexual activities, preferences, and identity.
We asked the professor if she can tell us what a person’s sexual preferences/identity have to do with how the state spends taxpayer dollars.
At the time of publication, we have not received a response but will update the article if and when any response is provided.
A Freedom of Information Act request has been submitted for more information as to the total taxpayer dollars being devoted to this survey.
A copy of the survey can be downloaded at this link or viewed below.

Posted at 12:44h, 27 March$60,000 of tax payer money being wasted on this stupid survey. Who cares about sexual activity? We should be worried about the horrible test scores schools are producing. It’s all about priorities.

Posted at 12:43h, 27 MarchNorthern Illinois University contacted me two days ago about somewhat the same thing. But they said they were doing it for the ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH..
Halfway thru the survey they were asking me about my gender preferences, etc. So I Hung up on them . Was then called back by another health official’s phone number but never picked up.
Wonder how they got my unlisted cell phone number.
