Illinois Gun Ban of 2023 – Full Text

By John Kraft & Kirk Allen

On January 12, 2023

ILLINOIS (ECWd) –

The full text of the Illinois gun ban is below.  Anything that is underlined is NEW language in the law.

Please read it as some provisions have already taken effect and some (“high capacity” magazine) are effective in 90 days from its signing.

The only ways you can participate to overturn this law is to sign on to one of the lawsuits sure to come, and vote those out of office who voted in favor of it.

If you chose to do nothing, or only limit your frustrations to social media comments, you get what you deserve or voted for.

None of these gun laws do anything when it is just one or two states doing in. The guns from the streets of Chicago are being supplied by straw purchased guns from out of state where the laws are not as strict.

A legal gunner buyer walks into a gun store and buys 10 guns “legally” and then takes them to Chicago and sells them for twice what he paid, which the criminal element gladly pays. Until you can figure out how to stop that from happening, you will not stop the guns from hitting the street. It doesn’t matter what type of gun, so called assault rifles or handguns.

The politician know this, but they whore themselves to the headlines of the press like they are really doing something. It is disgusting. JP Pritzker with that big proud smile on his face. WHAT A LIE !!! What a piece of @%?# he is.

Liberal democrat hypocrites set the example of murdering over 61 million babies since 1973 for the children to learn murder is a problem-solving tool. Democrats teach human life has no value and then feign surprise when big cities like Chicago have 100’s of murders. Abortion loving politicians cry we need gun control, after they teach people murdering babies is okay. Abortion and the democrat’s baby killing agenda alike are deserving of our hatred for causing people to not value human life. Abortion is man’s inhumanity to man! The definition of murder is the taking of an innocent life, there is not a more innocent life than that of an unborn or just born baby. Of course, the abortioncrats don’t allow the unborn baby a “right” to life, every sane person knows life begins at conception and knows the democrats teach children to NOT value human life by example, then they blame the guns for murders and wonder why there are violent crimes committed with guns by those who were taught not to value human life, their immorality and hypocrisy are obvious. When will the anti-2nd amendment liberals raise their children to value human life?

When will abortioncrats stop teaching there is NO shame in murdering an unborn baby and sometimes born babies? The definition of murder is the taking of an innocent life, there is not a more innocent life than that of an unborn or just born baby. Democrat lawmakers teach guns are evil, guns aren’t evil, teaching abortion is okay, is evil….

Donate $10, $20, $50, $100, whatever you can afford to those pursuing lawsuits to overturn this tyranny..

No State may lawfully make any law which contradicts its State Constitution or which interferes with Congress’ power to “organize, arm, and discipline, the Militia”

This gun ban bill is fear mongering by the gun grabbing democrats. They have contempt for our constitutions and our rights. Scare people enough and they think we will accept removal of liberty, that’s the democrat path to tyranny

Law-abiding People who have done nothing wrong do feel like they are being persecuted by the system because they are! The Communist nationalist democrats persecute law abiding citizens because they know this gun ban bill is unconstitutional, they don’t care, they want the gun rights groups to have to go to court and bleed money to get justice.

This gun ban bill is unconstitutional as in violation of the Second Amendment, and as in violation of Article I, Section 8, clauses 15 & 16, US Constitution, which provide for the organizing, arming and training of the Militia. Since Congress has the power to require Citizens to be armed and trained, the state cannot block and usurp that authority from the federal govt; the state cannot ban modern weapons. No State may lawfully make any law which contradicts its State Constitution or which interferes with Congress’ power to “organize, arm, and discipline, the Militia”. The state legislature’s communist nationalist democrats are dictatorial

All of the Illinois “gun laws” are already illegal. They are going to keep pushing for more and more control because no one will stop them from enacting illegal bills.

I see Edgar County is one of the illegal order enforcers. Your sheriff is worthless just like Lake County.

Illinois has to be the worst governed state in the U.S. and it defies understanding that they let in unvetted illegals and leave us defenseless, while they support other countries using our tax payer dollars, and ARMING them against foreign invaders. WHEN IS ENOUGH ENOUGH?

It seems we release our anger by writing “comments” in all realms of social media. In the old days (1945-1965) tyrants were pulled from their houses and made an EXAMPLE in the public square! The politician FEARED “We the People”……..today they try to make the “People” FEAR THE TYRANT! Very sad……..

Hi all, the following is the definition of “person” from the Act described above, I am unable to find “Ch. 127” or “Source: P.A. 87-823”, if anyone could be provide a link to these documents.

    (5 ILCS 100/1-60) (from Ch. 127, par. 1001-60)

Sec. 1-60. “Person” means any individual, partnership, corporation, association, governmental subdivision, or public or private organization of any character other than an agency.

    (Source: P.A. 87-823.)

Looks like P.A. 87-823 refers to Public Act 87-823, from the 1991-92 time period when electronic records may have been unavailable. Therefore my difficulty in finding any reference to the document. Anyway, this part of the code is probably referring back to when the definition of “Person” was first established in the code. I was hoping for a definition of “individual”, but running a search with several law dictionaries turned up no results.

Some people can already see where this is going, where “Person” is referring exclusively to corporate entities or “individuals” licensed or contracting with the state, i.e. by the consent of the governed. In other words, the Act described above does not apply to >95% of the population.

There will be more to say about this in the near future, in the meantime ask yourself the question – when is the last time you referred to a partnership, corporation, association, or organization, as a Person? Answer: never.
