Charleston, IL. (ECWd) –
We had previously published an article about this JB Pritzker campaign event at the Charleston Library and stated we would publish the video once it was made available.
Now we have the video.
The man stood up and shouted: “You shut my gym down during COVID but you left the gyms open in your hotels.” He was assaulted prior to finishing his sentence.
The key point we want to stress in this video are that Gov. Pritzker did not speak out against his supporters assaulting the person attempting to address the governor. Instead, he joked about “there’s always somebody, right.”
We question whether he condones his supporters laying hands on a protester.
At least three people assaulted the speaker, while one appeared to have physically pulled and pushed him after attempting to hold her sign in front of his face, another appeared to be pulling him from his shoulder and left arm from behind, and a third appeared to have pushed his right shoulder towards the end and while he was moving to exit the building.
We previously wrote about the fitness center closures and that hotel fitness centers were permitted to remain open (here).
