It’s already cost effective for many motorists to fill-up on the other side of the mighty river. Municipalities near state borders which serve less than 3,000,000 inhabitants already know the disadvantages of Illinois’ exceedingly high motor fuel tax rate.

Daft tax bills do so very little. A bill that would increase the distribution of the state’s existing motor fuel tax to municipalities with less than 3,000,000 inhabitants could make smaller municipalities more attractive.

Zalewski needs to be unelected. Let’s hope he doesn’t have enough votes to pass this. The greed is out of control. In Springfield and DC. Americans can not afford the inflation.
