Norton’s Contempt Of Court Modified Again – Must Appear At Motion To Turn-Over Assets –

By John Kraft & Kirk Allen

On September 16, 2021

Will Co., IL. (ECWd) –

John Norton appeared in Will County Court again today, this time to answer questions related to his assets and financial accounts.

In no surprise to us, he started off by lying to the Judge related to my being in the courtroom with a cell phone. The Judge was having none of his accusations and continued on with the Hearing.

It lasted nearly an hour and a half, and in the end, Norton’s Indirect Civil Contempt of Court was modified again and he was ordered to appear on October 28, 2021, at 10:30 a.m., for a Hearing on a Motion to Order Turn-Over of Assets.

We understand a Motion for Criminal Contempt (not sure of the exact name) will be filed against Norton in the coming days.

This proceeding is part of the frivolous case he filed against several defendants which were dismissed under the Citizen Participation Act. Under the CPA, if movant (defendants) succeed, the losing party is mandated to pay all costs/fees incurred by Defendants.  The attorney fees are going to be hefty in light of his ongoing lies and delays. Each and every hearing and court filings increase the costs he will be subject to paying.
