Bill Introduced To Mandate Vaccination Of Nursing Home Staff

On August 28, 2021

Illinois (ECWd) –

As if finally admitting that the Governor lacks the power to mandate vaccinations of health care workers, Illinois State Representative Anna Moeller (D), introduced HB4134, entitled “NURSING HOMES-COVID-19 VACCINE“.

If passed, this bill would grant the Illinois Department of Public Health the power to fine and revoke state licensing of facility and/or staff member.  It also would create another state-managed fund under the State Finance Act that will be named Nursing Home Infection Control Fund.

“Provides that a facility shall be fined $500 for each week that the facility fails to comply, not to exceed $24,000 per calendar year. Provides that if a facility fails to comply with the requirements of the amendatory Act within 10 business days after receiving a notice of noncompliance, the Department shall notify the facility in writing that its operational license is subject to revocation. Provides that if a facility staff member fails to comply with a facility’s COVID-19 vaccination mandate within 5 business days after receiving a notice of noncompliance, the facility staff member shall be notified by the Department that his or her occupational or professional license will be revoked. Provides that a facility staff member’s license will be reinstituted upon providing proof of compliance with the facility’s COVID-19 vaccination mandate to the Department. Amends the State Finance Act. Creates the Nursing Home Infection Control Fund. Effective immediately.”

Another case of “get caught breaking the law? – Change the law”.

What is surprising is that Nursing home staff isn’t already required to have vaccinations for the health of their residents. I guess flu shots, etc aren’t required? Why should the Covid-19 vaccine be any different. Staff should want to protect the residents.

Jannie, the so-called vaccine is NOT a vaccine. It doesn’t protect the person who received the jab nor does it protect the unvaccinated. The jab only reduces symptoms, and that’s all it was ever intended to do. Mass inoculation is causing COVID variants to form, because the virus is doing exactly what viruses do, and that is to mutate. The jabbed people are now the creators and primary spreaders of the variants. This situation will go on in perpetuity if the inoculations continue. Trust me, this is exactly what Fauci and Pharma want to occur. Follow the money.

Very well said. The fear factor is pushing vaccine myth.

I got this bill lumped in with Representative Lilly’s failed bill titled “Gas Station Attendant Act” of 2020. But protecting the vulnerable is a good aim. As such, the payment ambiguity baked into the Representative Moeller’s bill with the Nursing Home Infection Control could fund more urgent needs.

Since indoor humidity levels are widely known to have an impact on the spread of infection; and aerosolized virus in particular, I’ll put in for Representative Moeller’s Nursing Home Infection Control fund to be for establishing, maintaining, and controlling facility standards for indoor humidity, year around. I’d also recommend that the Illinois Department of Public Health channel a portion of the federal COVID-19 relief funding to licensed Nursing Home facilities in order to pay for HVAC equipment needs.

Well I’m a nurse and I’m not vaccinated and I will not be vaccinated that is my right to refuse just like people refuse to get there kids vaccinated. One they lie about the numbers I watched it first hand. 2 they have not came up with a flu shot more then 45% effective in 90 years and now we got this deadly virus killing people off drastically supposedly ( I seen people pass way of major problems but just cuz they tested positive wit no signs or symptoms wasn’t even going to the hospital for anything covid related just was tested because they was sent to the hospital for other reasons still get counted as a covid death even though that’s not what caused there death! Added more complications yes but not the reason they passed). Your trying to convince me there is a vaccine in 9 months. I don’t believe it. 3. Pay attention to the numbers the people the “Delta” strand is mainly taking out people who have took the vaccination. Do your research. You have the right to refuse a vaccination which it’s still in its clinical trial and it stays in a clinical trial for 2 years. So mandate nursing home nurses to be vaccinated I will gladly take getting fired and not only will I get unemployment I will sue for unlawful termination. I’m not saying I’ll never take it but it’s to new for me and my kids we will not be taking it. So for all you Karen’s out there that are omgosh she is a nurse and not vaccinated I’m a very intelligent nurse and I know my shit and I’m not vaccinated was a covid nurse through the whole thing hit my nursing home hard and guess what still have never ever tested positive.
