Something about this case, appeal hearing, and appellate court decision caused me access the Judicial Inquiry Board’s web-site. Justice Stiegmann was sanctioned for conduct occurring in 2015/16. Page two of the Order describes partiality in his soliciting certain speaking engagements.

Whew!…I was all-out bonkers before receiving this ECWd report.

Reading through the petition, it is good to know the Brotze’s dissatisfaction with the Appellate Court’s decision. As for saving face, the two Illinois senate delegates office staffers probably became so hyper-excited by the prospect of receiving federal grant funding that they forgot to check on Illinois home rule before recommending approvals. Haha.

Who do these Carlinville “elders” think they are? They have constantly fought the Watchdogs on even public information records and even told the AG to take a hike when he ordered them to produce them. I am appalled at the amazing hutzpah citizens continue to witness from their elected officials. It may be time to do away with all of them as this disease seems widespread. See Washington DC government for a prime example. Carlinville council is a smaller scale of the same lack of accountability.

So thankful for the Brotze family continuing to stand strong on this most important issue for the area. Private meetings where council members from the cities who are a part of the startup project not allowed at the meetings to voice the voters voice. One representative appointed goes no one else allowed. These council folks are NOT even well informed or experienced with being on boards like these. I attended a meeting where they were going to hire an attorney because he seemed like a nice person, per the one lady council member?! Was not even going to ask the attorney salary or interview others? Scary for the taxpayers to have loose guns like this on a board of such importance. Then add that other council members are not allowed or general public not welcome or allowed to attend. One time there was a posted sign, threating arrest of council members who tried to attend….at the door,, they could be arrested? Makes one question, what is going on here!? More important, WHAT HAS GONE ON SINCE THE BEGINING OF THESE MEETINGS? Reports back were pretty worthless. Hence why this is wrong with our tax money being spent this way?! What has really taken place here and how much money has been spent- a by line financial report or a audit needs done and provided! Don’t the folks paying for this have a right to know? Oh, wait it’s a private company. They don’t share open books or provide good full disclosure on spending, bidding, etc. No good, not proper., not legal?? Guess we will find out. Thank you Brotze’ s for standing strong on what this one tax payer feels is complete abuse of our taxpayer funds. Seems like a total money grab with no accountability, no open meetings. Thought this was way of doing business with our money was illegal, if not it should be!
