Champaign, IL. (ECWd) –
At 10 a.m. this morning, there was a protest and rally in front of the Champaign County Public Health District in support of local food service businesses impacted by the shutdowns.
There were around 150-200 people present.

Its ludicrous that funding would be distributed to the hospitality industry workers through unemployment insurance. Also, the surge of hospitality industry worker unemployment claims cited for last month excludes people working to support operations at O’hare international airport? If that’s actually occurring, the Pritzker admin is flaunting a disparity they cause or enable at whole civilized world,

Posted at 14:00h, 20 DecemberI feel very sorry for the posters who are ok with over 300,000 people dying and no this virus isn’t a scam. I suppose if you were born before vaccines or knowledge about smallpox & polio you’d feel better if you went up and close to someone who was infected.
I support my local restaurant – just today in fact – by getting carry out. I’ know of so many people who have been infected, some mild, some hospital some now dead I hate wearing a mask and not going inside to my favorite restaurant, but will continue to wear the mask, & call in my restaurant order, because it’s public health.

Our governor and people like Jannie have taken us down the wrong approach which has resulted in deaths and loss of economic freedom. Public Health agencies should present details and statistics why shutting down prevents deaths and hospitalizations. They don’t because they cannot. They just continue with the same message using a hysteria driven media to scare and frighten. Its this message that Jannie supports that has done nothing except create fear and panic, to turn Americans against one another, caused countless individuals to lose their jobs, increased suicides and domestic abuse and all they say is well wear a mask. Posted at 08:36h, 22 DecemberI’ve offered my services to my small suburb mayor. I’ve offered my services to aid the new Chicago Restaurant coalition. It’s possible to open up at partial capacity safely. But noone has replied to my offers for FREE services to beef up the health requirements of anything to open up even partially.
There’s lots of talk about opening up. But noone will pull the trigger so long as Jabba is going around threatening and guilting everyone who may think differently.
