UPDATE 9-14-2020: Catherine Wojnarowski, through her attorney, has stated that she does not remember sending this message, and even if she did, she considers it an invasion of her privacy.
Catherine Wojnarowski, Village Administrator for the Village of Bradley, Illinois is alleged to have texted a gay slur about the Village Treasurer / Finance Director.
Here is what she is alleged to have sent in April of 2020:
- “Romo the Homo, that’s what I call him. LOL.”
This was a reference to the Village Treasurer / Finance Director, Rob Romo.
This type of discussion is unacceptable, especially if you are a Village Administrator and talking about a village employee.
We left a message this morning with the Village Mayor’s Assistant, she told us he would return our call, but we have yet to receive a response.
