Illinois (ECWd) -
Merely days after laughing at the suggestion of opening up Illinois by regions, Governor JB Pritzker announced he would condone it, under certain conditions.
During today's Daily COVID-19 Briefing, Gov Pritzker was asked about opening up the state by regions, his response was that "yes" he would certainly do that if there was a steady decline in hospitalization and infection rates (bent curve) over a 14 day period in an area, that part of the state could open up.
Using the Governor's own words, Edgar County, and the other five counties without a positive COVID-19 case should be open now! Is he a man of his word? If so, Edgar County should open their doors! ZERO cases, ZERO hospitalizations. Not only do we have a low case count, low death count and low infection rate, since all are zero, there is no doubling rate they are so concerned about.
