Shelbyville, IL. (ECWd) –

At a gathering of 30 people this morning, the Shelby County Sheriff gave his report to the Shelby County Board:

We (Sheriff’s Dept.) ran people off the campground – because of Governor Pritzker’s Executive Order for stay at home.  This point was reiterated by the Health Dept. Director, citing “the rules” and the Sheriff said they will keep monitoring the area for violations.

It starts at around the 16:45 mark in the video:

Would like to know if public and/or private campgrounds are open for business, assuming social distancing is observed…

Doesn’t that violate the 10 people gathered rule?

Self awareness has officially vacated humanity. I wonder where it shall reside, if it survives.

    See Section 5(c)

The sheriff seems to have a strange interpretation of Section 5(c) of the governor’s order since it is defined as a permitted essential activity in a public park.

Oy vey! That’s not the same as telling three groups of ten!

I read the Army Corp of Engineers have closed or are closing camp grounds but not in any of Governor Pritzker’s orders or press releases.
