PARIS, IL. (ECWd) –
On April 10, two Paris 95 essential employees were contacted by the Urbana Health Department to inform them they must quarantine because they came in contact with an individual that tested positive for COVID-19. Paris Union School District No. 95 takes the safety of our employees, students, and community very seriously, and we will follow all directives from the Illinois Department of Public Health in order to stop the spread of COVID-19. We are writing this letter to inform you of the communication we received and be transparent about our schools following the guidelines of the health department.
All Paris 95 employees were notified of IDPH directive, and our staff will take additional precautions to ensure the health of all employees and individuals we come in contact with. As a general reminder, the Illinois Department of Public Health suggests the following:
– Stay home as much as you can.
– Do not spend time with people outside your household.
– Wash hands often.
– Cover your cough.
– If you feel sick, get help.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Superintendent of Schools at 217-264-0835 or [email protected]. Thank you for your support of our schools during this time.
Paris 95 is sitting all employees at home for the week out of an abundance of caution. Food deliveries will not be available this week. Paris 95 will offer food from only one site for one day this week. Please come to Mayo from 9 AM to 11 AM to get your weekly food bags. Paris 95 also strongly encourages all our families to not spend time or be around others that do not live in your house. Stay safe by staying home and with only your family. Friends and neighbors may not show symptoms, but they can still impact your family’s health.
