Former Springfield School Board Vice-President indicted on two felony counts of theft –

SPRINGFIELD, IL. (ECWd) –

Adam Lopez, former Springfield School District Board Member and former Country Financial representative was indicted by Grand Jury on August 14, 2019 on two felony counts, a Class 3 and a Class 4.

News Channel 20 indicates the allegations are that he stole from a fellow inmate (here).

A Grand Jury indicted him on both counts, the Sangamon County State’s Attorney filed the charges on August 14, 2019.

Lopez had a Hearing on August 15, 2019, and a trial is scheduled for September 23, 2019.

Bond was set at $100,000, Lopez is still in the Sangamon County Jail awaiting trial on previous charges where he was unable to post Bond.

Lopez plead Not Guilty.

These new charges are in addition to the previous 5 felony counts filed in 2018, some of which include theft from the elderly.
