CARLINVILLE, IL. (ECWd) –
In what should be the last article dealing with Carlinville’s March 19, 2018, embarrassment of a city council meeting, what this portion will show is another attempt to invent laws that do not exist.
First, their attorney, Mr. Dan O’Brien again wrongly claims some kind of rule which prohibits public comments from people who are in litigation with the city. While watching this, it is almost as if he knows he is making it up at the time. (In a previous article, I explained, in detail, how wrong this was (here).
Next, Mayor Demuzio tries shutting me down again, by continuing on with their attorney’s false interpretation of public comment rules. Even after “giving” me 3 minutes, in violation of their own policy, she gaveled me down after the attorney improperly and rudely interrupted me again while attempting to provide my comments to the public officials, and interrupting my train of thought.
They were wrong, and I believe they know they were wrong.
