State Board of Elections asked to do their job – Rule on complaint against Frank Mautino campaign

On May 25, 2017

Illinois (ECWd) –

In light of the fact, the State Board of Elections failed to ever rule on the original complaint filed against the campaign of Illinois Auditor General Frank Mautino, a motion to reconsider has been filed by David Cooke.

Motion to Reconsider: “despite being labeled a Final Order – did not address the Complaint’s allegations that the Committee made prohibited expenditures by paying for gas and repairs of vehicles not owned or leased by the Committee and making expenditures in excess of fair market value under 10 ILCS 5/9-8.10″

As we said in this article, “All the State Board of Election had to do was determine if Illinois Auditor General Frank Mautino reported his State Representative campaign expenditures incorrectly.”  Sadly, they failed and it’s clear Cooke’s attorneys saw the same thing we did.

It’s good to see this Motion to Reconsider being filed as it is very clear, the State Board of Elections, paid by the taxpayers, have an obligation to rule on the original complaint of inappropriate expenditures.

We ask that they do the job they are paid to do, rule on the complaint filed, and if they are not willing to do that, they should resign or be removed from office.

Is anyone listening?? Don’t pay a portion of your taxes that pay the salaries of these inept, if not equally corrupt people. In the private sector non-performers don’t get paid because they lose their jobs. What makes these incompetents so powerful? They have legislated all our right away. We take back our power when we stop paying what they tell us we have to. Even the Church only takes 10%. IT IS TIME FOR A TAX REVOLT. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tax_resistance

it’s sad that from the budget (constitutionally required to be balanced) on down government agencies have discovered they really don’t have to follow the laws as there is no one to enforce them…

Welcome to Illinois – the most corrupt state in the nation. As for the process that was conducted – a travesty. Where have all the honest people gone?
