Citizens for Towne State’s Attorney – SBE hearing set for August 31st, 2016

LaSalle Co. (ECWd) –

Documents received today confirm there will be a closed preliminary hearing August 31st, 2016 regarding the complaint filed.  Details of the complaint can be found in this article. 

The purpose of the preliminary hearing is to determine if the complaint filed was done so on justifiable grounds. Considering it was the State Board of Elections telling us campaign finance reporting as we described, which matched what Towne had done, would be a violation.  We first exposed his reporting irregularities in this article. 

We are confident the preliminary hearing will, in fact, find the complaint to be based on justifiable grounds.
