Clark County, Clark Edgar Water District, Edgar County

Clark-Edgar Rural Water District to vote on increased rates -

BY JOHN KRAFT & KIRK ALLEN

ON April 20, 2016

OLIVER, IL. (ECWd) -

The Clark-Edgar Rural Water District, whose customers pay one of the highest water rates in the State of Illinois, will more than likely see another increase in rates.

On the agenda for their April 21, 2016 board meeting is discussion and a vote on rate increases.

Our suggestions are simple:

  • QUIT EXPANDING - take care of the customer you already have.
  • Quit taking on new debt.
  • Charge newly annexed customers a rate that will pay for the new debt incurred to connect them.
