District 210, feature, Lincoln-Way District 210, Will County

Lincoln Way School District 210 - ISBE to investigate financial integrity of D210

BY KIRK ALLEN & JOHN KRAFT

ON February 29, 2016

Will Co. (ECWd) -

We received notification today that the Illinois State Board of Education has initiated a proper investigation of the financial integrity of Lincoln Way CHSD 210.

This comes after being placed on the financial watch list last March.  One can only wonder what the ISBE will have to say about tax dollars being used for teaching dogs instead of children, or property being rented with no rental agreements, not to mention no board approvals.  As if those matters are not concerning enough to the financial well being of the district, let's not forget the Day Care center that is profiting on the backs of taxpayers and not generating a penney of revenue for the district.

Considering none of those issues we raised are items found on the letter from ISBE, may we suggest the citizens of the district let the ISBE know of those matters as well.

It will be quite telling to see what gets e-mailed to the ISBE and how long it will take for the school to provide those records under FOIA.

We will update with more information on this matter as it comes in.
