College of DuPage – Reform Board calls special meeting for 7pm

By Kirk Allen & John Kraft

On February 1, 2016

DuPage Co. (ECWd) –

The Reform Board of Mazzochi, Napolitano, and Bernstein have called for a special meeting at 7pm, Wed. February 3rd.  The agenda is identical to the meeting called by the Breuder Board commonly referred to as the boycotters.

According to the 7pm agenda,  “There is a possibility that a quorum and/or the presence of other service personnel may not be possible by 5:30 p.m. due to prior  scheduling commitments and the scheduling of the meeting on a Wednesday rather than Thursday. The Student Life Fair is also set to take place in the Atrium on February 3.  The present Agenda thus repeats the  5:30 p.m. Agenda requested by Trustees Birt, McGuire and Wozniak, but re-sets the time for 7:00 p.m”

CALL TO ACTION!

It’s time for no less than 50 people to step up the plate and be heard!  We need each and every person who can make it to the 5:30 meeting and use their full 3 minutes at the podium to express your position on the current state of affairs at COD.

This is ridiculous again! Is it just me or this totally confusing again with two Special Meetings scheduled on the same day? Everyone is going to be confused as whether to come at 5:30pm or 7:00pm. I imagine that most folks due to their day jobs cannot make the 5:30pm start time.

The Breuder board “proposed” a 5:30pm start-time. However due to the Student Life Fair and the short notice of a Board meeting on a Wednesday. Did Mazzochi ask the Breuder board to move the meeting to 7pm? Did the Breuder board refuse? Thus forcing Mazzochi to schedule the later meeting.

did the breeder board schedule it that way knowing the large area was in use, forcing them back into the small board room so only 30 people could attend?

All attempts to have the time moved back so everyone could attend was refused by the Boycotters.
