DuPage Co. (ECWd) –

In yet another confirmation of a systemic internal control problem at the College of DuPage, we have again confirmed previous Freedom of Information Act requests were being selectively complied with, which means documents we should have received were withheld.  Like a dog digging for a bone, we continue to uncover more wrong-doing at COD.  Our question still stands.

When will anyone be held accountable by law enforcement?

A previous request for all Waterleaf House accounts turned up Account #10, 20, and 30.  We shared those in this article back in June of 2015.  Then, after the IRS exposed even more illegal Waterleaf expenditures, we shared that info in this article.

Today I received the receipts for House account #1234567 which was clearly concealed from our previous FOIA requests and that of other media.  The Chicago Tribune had a tally of almost $350,000.00 spent at the Waterleaf.  Add this newly exposed $36,797.14 and we see the new total approaching $400,000.00 of tax payer money spent at the Waterleaf, all while kids are struggling to make ends meet.

A review of 47 pages of receipts once again reflects Breuder, his  Senior Administration, and the Board of Trustees living large to include dinners and booze for themselves and their spouses.   But it does not stop there.  These receipts also show more billing to the taxpayers by Trustees and their spouses.

While we are at it, let’s not stop with those public figures and their abuse of the taxpayer.  Why not let the community members do the same?  Yes, page 4 of the receipts reflect $5,524.01 spent on food and booze for 64 guests and the receipt states “Community Night Dinner”.  One can only wonder who enjoyed the taxpayer funded community night dinner.

Stay tuned for upcoming exposure of DuPage County Board Chairman Dan Cronin’s participation in the enjoyment of the fine dining at the Waterleaf on the backs of the taxpayer as well.  The guy who claims to be in favor of limited government and reduced spending?
