College of DuPage – Rogue Trustees refuse to attend agenda planning meeting –

By John Kraft & Kirk Allen

On January 12, 2016

College of DuPage (ECWd) –

As promised during the COD meeting last week, the college has posted the email exchanges between Chairman Mazzochi and the rogue trustees proving she attempted, multiple times, to bring them to the table to agree on an agenda.

What the three rogue trustees fail to understand is that they are not in charge of the board at this time. The Chairman still has agenda making authority and although the rogue trustees called a lawful meeting, they do not have the authority to dictate the agenda. Yes, they can mandate certain items be on that agenda, but cannot dictate they be the only items on the agenda.

Section 3-8 of the Public Community College Act

Special meetings of the board may be called by the chairman or by any 3 members of the board by giving notice thereof in writing stating the time, place and purpose of the meeting. . .

Please note that this paragraph authorized three trustees to call a special meeting, in writing, stating the “time, place, and purpose” of the meeting.

It says nothing about “setting the agenda” or “nothing else can be added to the agenda” – McGuire and Birt are 100% wrong on this subject.  It is appears they believe stating the ‘purpose’, written in the form of an agenda, somehow means they get to set the agenda, which is wrong.

For the agenda, they must comply with COD policy.

Lots of payback happening for those at COD for not quietly and blindly following the breuder bunch’s dictates plus the breuder 3 don’t have to go out on a cold snowy night. They are probably keeping their fingers crossed that the Chair tries to do her job again so that they can “boycott” the meeting and send surrogates again. Pathetic individuals with absolutely no integrity. What is the point of coming to a meeting since your favorite restaurant has closed, right? Just not as much fun as it used to be.

Never-ending drama with this scandal. Eventually most people will be disinterested in all this drama. End it. Move forward to more important issues closer to home please. Thanks. Have a nice day.

Your attitude is exactly what is wrong with our country—if it’s too much trouble then just trow up your hands and walk away.

So you think my “attitude” is the problem in our country based on my comments here? lol. Obviously I’m not the problem. You seem misinformed to say the least.

It’s my opinion that the limited resources of the Edgar County Watchdogs could be used currently on more important issues of public corruption closer home in central Illinois where they and I live. We have huge public corruption issues here in Coles County and surrounding counties in central Illinois that are being ignored by mainstream media. Why does alternative media like Edgar County Watchdogs ignore it as well currently? Just curious. Have a nice day.

The ECWD is free to decide what issues they will tackle. Mr. Gaines you are constantly asking ECWD to stop the COD investigation and I am wondering why? Do you have a relationship with the Breuder board? If your concerns are downstate issues then I recommend you start your own investigations. I am thankful to ECWD for their coaching. Just yesterday the DuPage County States Attorney requested Closed meeting meetings. Millions of dollars are at stake so it is not some little drama.

Iol. I have NO relationship with any member of the COD Board. Even the Edgar County Watchdogs has said these recent activity by some on the COD Board is just drama. And btw, I have done an investigation and gathered evidence for over four years on this public corruption in Coles County. I am merely trying to get as much public exposure as you have had on these COD issues for years now. We have a university here that is just as corrupt as all the rest in Illinois and many of our public servants are corrupt in Coles County as the Edgar County Watchdogs already know. Hopefully, they will choose to expose it publicly soon. Until then all I can do is ask them to do it. Same as someone initially did apparently up in DuPage County years ago. Have a nice day.

This is straight out of the COD Board of Trustee Policy Manual.

    Policy 5-65
    Duties of the Vice Chair
The duties of the Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees shall include the following:
    1. Serve as Chair in the Chair’s absence.

    Policy 5-60
    Duties of the Chair
The duties of the Chair of the Board of Trustees shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
    1. Preside at all Board meetings.
    2. Preside, or designate another Trustee to preside, over the Committee of the Whole.
    3. Make all Board standing committee appointments with the advice and consent of the Board.
    4. Appoint and dissolve special ad hoc committees.
    5. Call special meetings.
    6. Direct the preparation of the meeting agenda.

What part of the Board Policy cannot Birt, McGuire, & Wozniak understand? Birt maintained tight control over the agenda and board meetings when she was the Board Chair. Birt did not allow Kathy Hamilton to attend the agenda planning meetings. Mazzochi has reached out numerous times to the rouge 3 to ask them to participate in the agenda planning.

Suggestion: Consider hiring a good private detective and gathering dirt on these people, then turn that evidence into the appropriate law enforcement agencies. Most people like this have lots skeletons in their closets and/or illegal activity they have been involved with personally…like sexual affairs, adultery, drug addiction, alcohol abuse, driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs…etc. Dig up their dirt and expose it publicly. Let the public judge them accordingly.Take the gloves off and quit playing around. End this drama, please. You can find bigger fish to fry closer to home…quit wasting your resources on this any longer. Thanks. Have a nice day.
