College of DuPage – HLC received Trustee McGuire letter

By Kirk Allen & John Kraft

On December 12, 2015

DuPage Co. (ECWd) –
College of DuPage (COD) Trustee McGuire sent the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) a letter in November as part of her own version of micromanaging the Administration’s response to the HLC.  Initially I believed that letter did nothing but seal a negative outcome as it relates to the College of DuPage accreditation matters. (See article on her letter here)
The HLC responded to her letter and I hope the fact it was addressed to the Acting Interim President, Dr. Joe Collins and not Trustee McGuire, has meaning.  For the HLC to simply respond with two sentences to her 3 page rant may be an indication they were less than impressed with her response, although it could mean nothing or it may in fact seal the deal negatively for COD.
HLC may respond to COD any day now regarding the action they plan on taking regarding the accreditation. We will update as soon as we get word.

Thank you for the update. The current administration tells us nothing. They treat us like mushrooms.
