Clark Co., IL. (ECWd) –
Clark County Park District Commissioner Ron Stone, along with all the other commissioners, voted to keep the same tax levy for another year.
This comes after several months of Ron Stone stating they need to eliminate or reduce the levy.
So after all those meetings where Stone had stated they needed to reduce or eliminate the tax, I was waiting for his “no” vote, but was disappointed.
Was it all talk and no action? He sure garnered press coverage prior to the election thru the Advocate, who he is in business with, and who posted an article just prior to the election stating the wish of the current commissioners to reduce or eliminate the tax. But that failed too, the people saw thru the smoke and mirrors…
Even after the election, Stone continued this line of thought by trying to convince some of the newly elected commissioners to go along with him in his quest. That also failed.

Posted at 10:48h, 30 NovemberOf course he voted in favor of it, his earlier comments were all just smoke and mirrors…..he knows that park can not run without the full tax levy……even then, it lost money last fiscal year…
