Clark Co., IL. (ECWd) –
The below video is from the Clark County Electoral Board Hearing in January of this year. During this public comment, the retired Clark County Clerk (yes, the one that thinks it’s OK to issue voter registration cards to people that do not live at the address they “registered” to vote at – remember Bev?) talked about it being a waste of money.
As he was sitting down, Kathy Ramsey completes his sentence, in agreement, with “taxpayer money“….and now she is in the predicament she is in, being charged with a felony for official misconduct involving taxpayer money.
See the irony yet?
We knew at the time it was inappropriate for a member of the election commission to display biased comments during the hearings, and this was prior to hearing any evidence. Do you think the election commission was rigged, or at a minimum, compromised with her as a member displaying this type of attitude?

Posted at 09:45h, 09 OctoberI find it very sad that people resort to name calling. I hear about our “rights” to say this and to say that, but it is BIBLICALLY lined out that we are not to judge and we are to love one another. Kathy is a nice person and I have always witnessed her treat people with kindness. No one is perfect and regardless of what did or did not happen, I find it heartbreaking that she or anyone else is drug through the mud with people jumping on a band wagon with name calling. She is also a daughter, a mother and a grandmother that deserves to be treated with kindness. No matter what “title” someone may have or had in the past; we are all the same when it is our final day and we will see what rung we are on by what we have practiced and how we have chosen to treat others….remember….we were ALL made in His image!

Posted at 14:15h, 09 OctoberJo, please dont confuse the biblical issue of judging with holding people accountable. We are to judge her behavior as a public officials. Biblical reference you point to is to not judge their heart as that is GOD’s place.

Posted at 20:04h, 13 OctoberI believe in holding people accountable, but we cannot assume guilt until all of the facts are presented and even then we should never resort to name calling and mud slinging or we will be judged. Make sure all planks are removed from our eyes before we utter a word.

Posted at 16:19h, 30 SeptemberGotta love the deer in headlight look when she is called out on her asinine comment. Nothing like a piece of white trash being elected into a position of authority. What an embarrassment to Clark County.

Posted at 16:47h, 03 OctoberIt’s only speculation at this point, yes formal charges but we are innocent until proven guilty!!!! How quick people are to judge!!!! Who are you to be calling someone “white trash”?!? What kind of title do you have??? Why not post your full name Mr. Paul?!?

Posted at 13:14h, 05 OctoberPaul James Smith, pleased to meet you. You are correct, everyone is innocent until proven guilty. That’s why at no point did I SAY she was guilty. In hindsight I apologize for the “white trash” comment, because I have friends and family whom some would define as white trash. Seeing as how she would have to climb several rungs on the evolutionary and socio-economic ladder, it would be an insult to THEM for Kathy Ramsey to be mentioned in the same breath.
As far as titles go, yes I have been called “Mr.” I’ve also been called a lot of other things including “son,” “husband,” “dad,” “grandson,” etc. During my time in the Marines I earned the title of Gunnery Sergeant. You are certainly welcome to continue this spirited debate and add a few more titles/colorful metaphors to that list. My 3 tours in Afghanistan has helped ensure that you have the right to do that, just as I have the right say her comment was asinine.
If you are a Kathy Ramsey friend and supporter, I commend you. She certainly will need ardent proponents like yourself as this unfortunate situation continues to unfold.
Have a great day. 🙂

Posted at 20:10h, 29 SeptemberListening TODAY AT THIS RECORDING, I found myself totally filled with revulsion towards these “nice” people trying to claim breaking the law is o.k. and I know them. Not it’s not. Was the hearing biased? Hey folks, that’s how things are done. Had the law been reasonably followed instead of lawyer excused as it was, look at the mess we wouldn’t have today that we now have. Watch the mess that will occur when all the park districts get balkanized and BLAME IT ALL ON THE individual MEMBERS OF THE ELECTION COMMISSION. They did their job wrong.
