DuPage Co. (ECWd) –
Previous expense information for Trustee McGuire tallied up over $23K in expenses for her serving the public. (See previous article). After that article we have been informed that McGuire’s Chamber Luncheon expense to COD was actually a Naperville Township Democrat Organization meeting. More on that to come!
We actually thought McGuire’s expenses were over the top but once again, another COD trustee has set the bar!
Joseph Wozniak, serving his second term, and hopefully his last, has cost the tax payers $46,835.09 in expenses since being a trustee.
We will stick to over $45K as the number as it was more than a challenge to make out the chicken scratch from this trustee as well as to understand all the corrections on his expense reports.
One thing that jumped out at us were numerous requests for approval of his expenses addressed to former chairman Dave Carlin, the creator of most of the problems we now see at COD. All measures are approved by a majority of the vote during a public meeting, not at the discretion of the Chairman.
Not sure what to make of all these expenditures other than it appears Wozniak will bill the taxpayer for anything he possibly can, as did trustee McGuire.
As reported previously, there were no expense reimbursements for former Chairman Erin Birt.

Posted at 15:56h, 20 AugustYou guys only asked for his expenses for the last four years? Didn’t he become a trustee in 2007? Should ask for the whole thing.

Posted at 21:35h, 19 AugustHandwritten reimbursement forms, with scribbles? Could this be any more unprofessional? If I sent something like that at my job, the accounting office would reject it. Someone should ask him for his notes from the ACCT Annual Leadership [sic] Conference, to find out if he showed up to any of the workshops. That is hilarious that part of the MapQuest directions got censored. But, why on earth did the taxpayers (and the students) at COD pay for this guy to stay at a hotel in Chicago??? There was $538 for lodging and $177 for parking for a conference that lasted only three days, October 22-25, 2014. Next time, whoever wants to go to something like that can get a Metra ticket, then take the bus.
