Tree vandals at Clark Co. Parks' – Mill Creek Park –

By John Kraft & Kirk Allen

On July 5, 2015

Clark Co., IL. (ECWd) –
Update: the Park District Director ordered this tree surgery…
If you know the identity of whomever conducted some “tree surgery” at Mill Creek Park, please drop us a line…we would like to know.
The actions of these selfish individuals have permanently scarred the landscape of the Park District.
The Commissioners were not aware of anything approving cutting of trees, and nothing was ever passed at a meeting in reference to tree cutting.
This operation involved a bucket truck or a tree climber to accomplish what was cut.
Oh, and they left all of their fireworks trash behind…

      Mill Creek Lake.
I am not aware of any Commissioner that were notified, and I don’t know what you mean by “the left side”.

Maybe a couple of weeks in jail might sober them up. No fine – put some time in jail.

I’m thinking, take everything they own and sell it to the lowest bidder. That’s what they thought of the Clark County taxpayer…

So where was all of the “park security” when this was going on? Seems like the board has let a little hen settle in and claim the park as her own. There are a hundred or more applicants who are more qualified waiting to apply. Fire her and all of her “park security”.

She been asked to resign a few times now. She won’t go as long as her puppeteers are pulling her strings. This woman is so incompetent, she can’t even copy numbers from a financial report to a budget spreadsheet so the board has accurate information! I don’t believe it is the employees fault. She directed the trees to be cut!

I would say it wasn’t unknown vandals.

I thought the mission of the park is to protect natural resources. In addition to the director allowing trees to be cut down there is a dock leasee that has a dock on the water that cut down multiple trees earlier this calendar year so the water could be seen from the dock leasee’s home. Did the park board fine this person? Park board members should be aware of this action of cutting down trees as u can clearly see this work from the water. If the park is so hard up for money then fine people who r vandalizing the park.
