Clark Co., IL. (ECWd) –
In response to a Freedom of Information Act request, Charity Murphy, the Clark County Park District’s FOIA Officer decided to redact certain lines from the Park-owned cell phone bill, and to not supply all of the responsive pages of the bills requested.
I responded asking her to provide the remaining pages of bills and the unredacted pages of the ones she did provide.
She responded with more pages of the phone bills, but not all pages of phone bills, and not the unredacted pages of the previous bills sent.
It is simple things like this that take up so much time, effort, and money. If the correct records would have been provided the first time, she wouldn’t have had to spend more time on it just to fail again, and the attorney would not be looking at billing the park district for defending another FOIA suit.
We’ll keep you updated.
