Rep Sandra Pihos missing on Special Session Vote –

By John Kraft & Kirk Allen

On January 11, 2015

SPRINGFIELD, IL. (ECWd) –

HB4576 Passes Illinois House and Senate (here) and is waiting Gov signature.

Full text (here).

This bill changes the way appointments are made to vacant seats of the Comptroller, Treasurer, Secretary of State, and the Attorney General in certain situations. It appears to be nothing more than an attempted power grab by those that see a possible opportunity in the near future. Pihos assisted in this power grab.

As stated in a previous article, Rep. Sandra Pihos chose not to fulfill the duties of her office to represent those that elected her into office. This is a sad day for her District and shows the level of responsibility she takes in her sworn commitment to the people of her District.

This failure of hers leads to the question of whether she will represent the people should she ever become a COD Trustee. It is clear she has already violated the public trust by voting in favor of a FOIA bill that puts additional restrictions and costs on the average citizen who is seeking public records — and then turns around and says that COD needs more transparency. It cannot be both ways, and the voters must decide whether they can trust her to represent their interests or the interest of the existing majority and the Foundation.

Remember this at the polls…
