PARIS, IL. (ECWd) –
The Airport Committee of the county board met at 12:30 p.m. today and recommended the name of Dale Barkley as interim manager for the Edgar County Airport.
The Edgar County Board held a special meeting at 1:00 p.m. today to appoint Dale Barkley as the interim Edgar County Airport manager, based on the recommendation of the airport committee. this is a temporary position until a permanent employee can be found. I am positive there are fully qualified residents of Edgar County that are more than willing to accept the position when it formally becomes available.
Dale Barkley is a former Elected Township Road Commissioner and had served on the Airport Board several years until his term recently expired. He should be very familiar with the day to day operations of the airport.

Good choice. Dale is a knowledgeable pilot and understands how a small airport should run.
Yep. The guy is also pilot, and currently building his own motor glider. I would say he knows a little about airports. Good choice for interim manager. Now to entice a person with knowledge, skill and personal honesty to take the permanent position.
Yes he is, and there are several qualified, honest people in Edgar County that will gladly apply for the job when offered.
