Edgar County Board Special Meeting - Dec. 19, 2013 - Video -

PARIS, IL. (ECWd) -

The Edgar County Board held a special meeting on December 19, 2013 with only one item on the agenda. That was to authorize their attorney to enter into a settlement negotiations in the case of Budd v. Edgar County. This was the person that sued the county and the sheriff for the "unhealthy" conditions inside the Edgar County Jail. The amount the board authorized to negotiate was $7,000.00 plus attorney fees.
