Fraud in Fuel Farm Grant Application? – Part 2 –

By John Kraft & Kirk Allen

On November 27, 2013

PARIS, IL. (ECWd) –

“The Edgar County Airport can no longer keep up with Jet A fuel demands of its based aircraft. The based users regularly use all Jet A in the existing 1,000 gallon tank and are forced to purchase fuel elsewhere.”

That is the next LIE on the alleged fraudulent grant application for the new 10,000 gallon tank and apron expansion. This document dated February 13, 2012 was signed by Jimmy Wells (airport manager) and Jim Keller (former county board chairman) attesting to its validity.

The truth is that a little over 4 years ago, the airport started using the existing 10,000 gallon tank for Jet A fuel, so the statement above is a complete fabrication of the facts. This, along with the previous article about the exagerated fuel usage is just another of the long list of examples of the lies and deception coming from the airport and its employees.

Please see the pictures below for proof of the existing 10,000 gallon tank being used for Jet A fuel – I took these pictures this morning – notice the big 10,000 tank is labeled “Jet A”.
