US Congressman Tim Johnson (R) to drop from race

It has been reported by Capitol Fax that US Congressman Tim Johnson (R) intends to drop out of his reelection race.

The announcement will reportedly happen Thurday.

On their website,  Capitol Fax states: “Possible replacements include Rodney Davis, Rep. Chapin Rose, Rep. Adam Brown, Sen. Sam McCann, Johnson’s former chief of staff Jerry Clarke and his current chief of staff Mark Shelden.”

UPDATE: He stated he will retire when his current term is finished.
